At I-RADHA (Indian Rhythms, Arts, & Dances Heritage Academy), we believe that art is not just performance, it is a living archive of stories, values, and human experiences passed down through generations.

This documentary film project is a heartfelt initiative to preserve and present the timeless legacy of Kathak, especially the rich storytelling traditions of the Lucknow Gharana, as shaped by legendary gurus such as Pandit Birju Maharaj ji.

Kathak is more than movement. It is katha or storytelling.
Stories that touch our hearts, shape our beliefs, and quietly influence the lives we create.

This documentary will explore:

• The Power of Storytelling – How stories influence thought, emotion, and ultimately, our reality

• Kathak as a Narrative Art – The evolution of Kathak from temple storytelling traditions to a refined classical dance form

• Stories We Inherit & Pass On – Personal memories, rare insights, and untold stories from gurus and senior artists

Through a blend of dance, interviews, and visual storytelling, this film will bring to life the philosophy:
“What we hear, we begin to believe, and what we believe, we begin to manifest.”
